"I am surprised how fit I have become in such a short space of time. It's the most fun I've ever had exercising" Bridget B
Ismael started training in Yee Fong Do style of Kung Fu in 1987 and continued to learn other martial arts including Lau Gar Kung Fu, Kickboxing, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, and Shotokan Karate.
In 2001, he started conducting fitness/body conditioning classes in a community centre in Finchley. Once participants learnt about his martial arts background, they encouraged him to combine fitness and martial arts in one class. IQ Fitness Boxfit was the result in 2005 combining fitness with boxing and then later Kickboxing.
As well as his classes, Ismael is now also a full time Personal Trainer currently based at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre and available for training in all Barnet Better gyms. He’s also a part-time instructor at Xen Do School of Martial Arts.
Kickboxing training is one of the best methods for all round body conditioning. So whether you want your child to get fitter, stronger, flexible, make friends, or a combination of the above, we tick all the boxes. Add bully awareness, stranger danger, self-confidence and LOADS OF FUN, you can see why many children are enjoying the benefits of IQF Little Tigers Boxfit classes.
Classes are non-contact so no need to worry about your child getting hurt. All you need to bring is your child in a t-shirt, jogging bottoms and a marked bottle of water. We provide the rest and lots of fun.

Fantastic kickboxing class 5 My 11 year old son has started Ismael’s kickboxing classes which are excellent! He is improving fitness and gaining self confidence. Ismael is a great tutor and more importantly, a great role model.

Birthday Kick-Boxing/Sports Party. 5 Hello LYDS. I just want to leave a review for IQ Fitness and Ismael. At the last minute Ismael helped out with my son's birthday party as our previous plans fell through. He was amazing. The lesson for the kids was clear, high-energy and fun. He was amazing with the children and adults and we would definitely work with Ismael again. We loved all his sport-themed games. Thank you for making my son's birthday a success.

5 After a fairly lengthy absence from any form of fitness (think years rather than months), I've just returned from my first boxercise class with iq-fitness on Vera Avenue (free taster class) The instructor Ismael accommodated my lack of fitness but equally pushed me to hit my maximum capability in my current mum tum zero balance state. Good steady pace for the duration, and at the end of It I was still breathing , upright and beaming. Absolutely loved it! I've have signed up for more and upping the ante to twice a week. This is a hidden gem and well worth a visit. Give it a whirl , you won't be disappointed .

5 Ok guys. Did my free trial of Box Fit last night with IQ Fitness in Grange Park. Let's just say I literally crawled out of the lesson. But what an amazing workout. And believe me I'm so unfit but it was a fun an enjoyable class. Was made to feel welcomed and was really encouraged. Guys you have nothing to lose, seeing as your first lesson is free but it really is addictive and if there is one fitness class you want to try to try to burn off all those Christmas calories this is the one. Don't just take my word for it.Try it for yourselves!!!
