How can Nutritional therapy help me?

Nutritional therapy has been found to be extremely beneficial if you suffer from digestive issues such as bloating, acid reflux, constipation and/or diarrhoea, nausea and a general feeling of pain and discomfort associated with eating. Also skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, hormonal disturbances associated with your monthly cycle or menopause, feeling tired all the time, not sleeping well or constantly coming down with virus’s that linger. Or if you have gone as far as you can with the NHS and feel you need to investigate further.

Why Kim Hawkins? Kim is a registered, highly qualified and experienced practitioner. She has been practising Nutrition since 1999 and amongst her many achievements has written articles for the Daily Mail, In Style and Here’s Health magazines, and appeared as guest speaker on Radio Clare in Ireland. She has regularly lectured across the UK and Ireland, at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and the University of Westminster in London. Kim uses a wide range of tools and clinical assessments to identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to the individual’s signs and symptoms that they come in to clinic with. This approach allows her to consider each person as unique and to recommend a detailed nutrition and lifestyle program to meet their needs, rather than a packaged programme that just addresses the condition.

All round benefit 5Star review I went to see Kim as I was looking to improve my diet - eat more fruit and veg and less processed food. Kim went through my eating habits with me and suggested I try to reduce the amount of sugar in my diet. She weighed me with this clever machine that also gives lots of other info and asked me to keep a food diary for 4 wks before coming back to see how I was getting on. I found it difficult sometimes to get the 10 fruit and veg in per day but we talked about other ways I could do this. I had lost 5 lbs (although losing weight wasn’t my goal I felt I was about half a stone over where I needed to be), gained muscle, reduced fat around my internal organs and increased my hydration level. Kim was very encouraging and suggested little changes I could make rather than a complete revamp of how I shop, cook etc. I’ve found it really helpful and I feel better - less bloated, my skin is better, I’m sleeping better and less tired!
