Children of Forty Hall Estate - Historical Exhibition

Saturday 19th January - Sunday 31st March, open during Hall opening times. Forty Hall, Forty Hill, Enfield, EN2 9HA An exhibition portraying the experiences of children at Forty Hall through subtle displays set in the period rooms to give a fascinating glimpse into the Hall’s past. Throughout the centuries there have been children at Forty Hall; wealthy children have lived here and poorer children have worked here. In more recent years, children have come to enjoy events and activities, explore the house and play in the park. Come and see what a child’s encounter and understanding of Forty Hall Estate may have been in bygone eras. Look out for the recently restored 18th and 19th century paintings of children connected to Forty Hall’s families. Learn about the wealthy children who lived in or visited the Hall and the poorer children made their living here.
