Role: Family Activities Coordinator Salary: Starting at £20,600 Location: Barnet, London Department: Care Team Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 9am on Tuesday 7 May 2019 Interview Date: Thursday 16 May 2019 Noah's Ark Children's Hospice is a community-based hospice service providing support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London, and extending into Hertsmere. Our mission is to provide care and support for seriously unwell children, as well as ensuring that their families are able to live life as fully as possible whilst their child is still alive and go on to face the future with hope after bereavement. The Role: We have an exciting vacancy within the Family Activities Team. The role will be based in Barnet with travel throughout the catchment area as required. The Family Activities Coordinator will work as part of the Family Activities Team of 3, to plan and lead on the Family Activities - Family Days, Referred Children’s Groups, Siblings Groups and Parent Groups, ensuring they are safe, enjoyable and successful. Events organisation and working with volunteers are fundamental aspects of this role. The Successful Applicant will have: o Experience of organising events o Experience of working with volunteers o Excellent interpersonal skills – able to interact with wide variety of personnel (internal and external) to achieve positive outcomes and establish sustainable relationships and partnerships o Excellent time management and organisational skills – ability to prioritise effectively and accomplish tasks within deadlines o Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal o IT self-sufficient (including high level of literacy in MS Office (Excel in particular) o Experience of using databases o Research skills – experience of researching provisions and services (statutory or voluntary sector) for a particular group What we can offer: We are offering a starting salary of £20,600 per annum plus benefits, flexible working opportunities, as well as excellent career opportunities Apply for this job: For more information about the role please visit https://www.noahsarkhospice.org.uk/about-us/work-with-us/current-vacancies/ to download the Job Description and application form.
