Role: Challenge Events Fundraiser (Corporate & Community) Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 Location: Barnet, London Position: Permanent Closing date: Wednesday 1 May 2019 Interview date: Tuesday 14 & Wednesday 15 May 2019 Background Noah’s Ark’s mission is to provide care and support for babies, children and young people who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible. At Noah’s Ark, we're changing the landscape for paediatric palliative care in north and central London with talented individuals who share our passion to improve the lives of seriously unwell children and their families. Our culture is fast-paced, innovative and supportive. Soon to be based in The Ark, a specialist children’s hospice building set on a stunning 7.5 acre nature reserve, we work to build an inclusive environment in which everyone, regardless of gender, race, religion, age, or background, can do their best work. The role Our Challenge Events Fundraiser will have the opportunity to: - Gain wide-ranging experience by developing and managing an exciting portfolio of challenge events across the community and our corporate partners - To attend key challenge events, such as the London Marathon and the Sahara Trek 2020 - Raise significant funds quickly and make a real difference - Support and learn from an experienced and very successful Fundraising Team - Work at a dynamic charity at a transformational point in its growth The successful applicant will have • Experience of challenge events fundraising or else have transferable skills from another sector • Exceptional time management and organisational skills • Experience of and ability to compellingly present to individuals and audiences (large and small) • Ability to clearly and concisely convey key messages and instructions by email and letter • Ability to be resilient and maintain positivity when faced with challenges • Experience of working with a database (e.g. DonorFlex) • Empathy with the work undertaken by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice What we can offer We are offering a salary between £24,000 – £27,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) plus benefits and flexible working opportunities.
