Merryhills Primary School is a successful three form entry school. We are looking for an organised and motivated Kitchen Supervisor to work in our school environment preparing meals for the children. Managing a team of 5 staff you will plan menus using nutritional guidelines and provide assistance with the preparation, cooking and service of food to the required standard. If you are interested in being considered for this position you will need: • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in professional cooking • Proven ability to work using own initiative • Good organisational and communicational skills • Good knowledge of Health and Safety/ Food Hygiene • To ensure pupils dietary needs and those with allergies are met through speaking with staff and parents • Maintaining stock levels and food ordering The successful candidate will ensure that the duties of the post are undertaken with due regard to the Council’s Health and Safety Policy and to their personal responsibilities under the provision of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other relevant subordinate legislation.
