School Caretaker

Palmers Green High School (PGHS) seeks to appoint a Caretaker to work alongside our Site Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in the security and maintenance of our school building and premises. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, flexible and hardworking. As a member of the premises team, applicants will need proven skills to be able to carry out the role which will include repairs, maintenance, gardening and decorating under the supervision of the Site Manager and in his absence. The Caretaker will also be a keyholder and responsible for the checking and locking of the buildings at the end of each day. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week/52 weeks per year) and working hours are 11am to 6pm during term time and 8am to 4pm during non-term time. Palmers Green High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
