An exciting new chapter for Age UK Enfield

After closing the doors of The Parker Centre for good, Age UK are very excited to be moving to a new purpose built day centre building in Brimsdown. The new location (formerly known as the Rose Taylor Centre) is ideally suited to being their new dementia day centre and main office and will be known as The Mabel Churn Centre.

It is a spacious building with a lot of natural light and even includes a courtyard and dedicated outdoor space. Its design reflects the needs of those who are restricted in movement or are wheelchair bound - for example there is a slope to the main entrance.

It’s been a busy week with contractors putting the finishing touches to the new décor, health and safety checks being carried out, heating tested and internet being installed… all ready to open the doors to day centre attendees on Monday 27th October!

Age UK can’t wait to welcome the community to their new Enfield home and have lots of activities planned in the coming weeks. There’s spaces available for new members so do get in touch for more info.
