Enfield celebrated the 80th anniversary of VE Day this morning with a commemorative service at Enfield War Memorial.
Wreaths were laid by the Deputy Lieutenant, Mayor of Enfield, Armed Forces representatives and local councillors in a moving service to celebrate the anniversary of the end of war in Europe but also to remember those who lost their lives.
This evening at 8.45pm, a beacon of light service will take place at Enfield Civic Centre.
If you walk towards the back of the war memorial there is a beautiful knitted tribute in a collaboration between North London Hospice and MHA Communities North London.
