Holtwhites is an award-winning artisan bakery and deli on Chase Side, Enfield. Established in 2011, the business is run by husband and wife team Richard Copsey and Kate Smith and their small team of bakers and shop staff. The team work hard to delight their customers with great quality food and friendly customer service.
At Holtwhites, all breads, cakes and pastries are baked from scratch daily on site using traditional ‘slow’ baking methods and the best quality ingredients available (for example organic flour, free-range eggs, unsalted butter, sea salt). This means that their products taste better, are better for you and the environment and provide excellent value because you will love eating them.
To accompany their artisan baked goods, Holtwhites offers a carefully selected range of deli items including farmhouse cheeses, charcuterie, olives, preserves, wines and craft beers; bespoke food hampers and gift-tokens; take-away teas, coffees and soft drinks; home-made soups, salads and sandwiches freshly made with seasonal ingredients; and catering for private parties and corporate events. Holtwhites also supplies a growing number of discerning cafes, restaurants, delis and caterers.
Holtwhites has attracted a number of awards since opening in 2011. In the World Bread Awards 2016, Holtwhites' Multigrain Bloomer was the winner in the wholegrain cagegory, and their Chocolate Loaf and Raisin & Walnut loaves were runners-up in the speciality sweet & savoury categories. They were joint Runner-Up in the Telegraph Magazine’s Best Small Shops in Britain Awards (Food Category) in 2012. Their Holtwhites Traditional Christmas Cake and Chase Sourdough bread were each awarded a Gold Star by the UK Guild of Fine Foods in the Great Taste Awards 2013. They were also named “Retailer of the Year” by Enterprise Enfield in 2013 and they were voted “Best Local Food Shop” in 2012 to 2016 by the readers of EN Magazine.

Holtwhites Bakery & Deli is a short walk along the New River from Enfield town, within easy reach of public transport links (Enfield Town, Enfield Chase and Gordon Hill railway stations, and 191 and W9 bus routes) and with free parking on Chase Side and nearby streets.
Opening hours are:
•7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday
•8:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday
•8:00am to 2:00pm Sunday

Order 5 In these trying times when it is near impossible to get a home delivery from the usual suspects its refreshing to have a small bakery offering such a great delivery service.

Recent order and service from Holtwhites Bakery 5 I want to give Holtwhites Bakery a massive thank you. Last week they responded to my request for a neighbourhood delivery to my road - They responded quickly- they served our request to deliver to our road and set up their online shop so it made it even easier for us to order again . We are ever grateful to Kate and her colleagues. The bread was also amazing - We love bread and the following loafs will now be firm favorites in our home- Ciabatta, Large Sourdough, Whole Wheat, Multigrain, Russian Rye- 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾- Thank you again Kate x

Holtwhite’s Bakery - so lucky it’s local! 5 Kate, Richard and the team produce consistently excellent bread, cakes and numerous other delicacies. Visiting the shop is always a pleasure, with everything beautifully presented and the staff are friendly and professional. We are so lucky that it is a local business for us, highly recommended!

Exactly what Enfield needed! 5 Delicious pastries, cakes, biscuits and breads. It's a great place to have lunch as sandwiches and toasties are excellent. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's always a pleasure going in and deciding what to choose! A few of our favourites include the Chase sourdough, multigrain loaf, Earl Grey fruitcake, gingerbread biscuits, chausson aux pommes, salami and Starnachas cheese ciabatta and the vegetable couscous.

Something different. 5 This is the second time i have rung up and explained exactly what i wanted for a family member who is hard to buy for.I wanted very strong cheeses wrapped up nicely in a bio degradable basket with labels on them.Everything was done perfectly and the gift on both occasion was very much appreciated. Lovely shop full of edible ideas.A must for all food lovers.

Thank you for the lovely biscuits 5 My kids are so inpatient. They always eat before I to have a chance to pay.The staff is so nice and never make us feel bad about this. I fully recommend any of their products not only because it is a great taste, but the price is affordable too.

Excellent choice 5 The last time I visited I was fighting the queues outside.The shop is so inviting, if you are opening a Artisan Bakery this is what you want to see. Everything easily accessible, clearly labelled and at excellent prices.I've tried other bakery's, and I cannot find fault with the taste or presentation of the products in Holtwhites Bakery, everything is truly first class.Not that I wanted to find any problems, but to have such an excellent shop in Enfield you almost have to pinch yourself its so good.
