Welcome to SweepSmart, a family run chimney sweeping company based in North London. We have been trained and educated in all aspects of solid fuel appliances, flues and sweeping.
We sweep all types of Fires, Wood Burners, Agas, Parkrays, Rayburns, Gas Fires, Oil Boilers and Inglenooks. In addition to a comprehensive chimney sweep we perform a smoke draw test, issue insurance recognised certificates and offer impartial advice to all our customers on any aspect of you solid fuel use.

It is commonly believed that only gas appliances produce carbon monoxide. All appliances that burn fuel produce carbon monoxide. Your solid fuel stove or open fire produce hundreds of times that of gas or oil appliances. This, and the risk of a chimney fire, is why it is important to have your chimney swept by a trained and competent person, after all no-one wants to become a number on next year’s carbon monoxide or fire statistics. The number of chimney fires is increasing every year in the UK with as many as 32 thousand homes in the UK having a chimney fire in 2010. A significant number will be largely due to not getting the chimney swept often enough.
When you book a sweep with us, you will be given a time slot to your convenience and called 20 minutes prior to our appointment.
At SweepSmart we take extra care by using thick denim and sheets for your floor and use a number of techniques for preventing dust escaping. We always try to ensure that chimney sweeping is a very tidy operation so you do not need to cover your furniture but of course you can do so if you wish for your own peace of mind.
We will be using state of the art chimney sweeping equipment in strict accordance with the current regulations and approved sweeping methods.
Remember to see the brush out of the top of the chimney to make a wish! Although we cannot guarantee the wish will come true, we can guarantee we have swept the chimney correctly.
Once the sweeping process is complete we will perform a smoke draw test, advise you on any aspect of your solid fuel use and issue an insurance recognised certificate.

Chimney sweep 5 Paul came and swept my chimney and did a fantastic job. He was very clean and very efficient and also gave me lots of advice regarding wood burners and real fires. Going for a real fire! I would definitely recommend SweepSmart 👍🏻

Highly recommend - great service 5 I highly recommend Paul. He is professional and gets the job done in a timely manner. Paul even called half an hour before arrival! The way from the front door to the fireplace was covered with sheets as well as the fireplace and surrounding. No dirt or mess was left. Paul is very knowledgeable about his trade and sent the safety certificate through straight away! Couldn’t be happier with his service!

Professional and knowledgable advice 5 I had Paul from SweepSmart visit our property yesterday to advise/quote us for a log burner. Sadly, due to a damaged chimney stack we are unable to proceed with a burner at the moment but I just wanted to say how professional and knowledgable he was and if you were thinking of having your chimney swept or installing a log burner, definitely speak to Paul!

Honest excellent advice 5 Paul came by today to give us advice on our towering chimney stacks, the birds nests in them and the state of our current unused gas fires.He gave us excellent really useful advice that will help us make decisions about maintenance of our stacks and future choices for our fireplaces.We highly recommend his service and may need his sweeping services when the birds have flown the nest. Wood burner installation 5 The week before Christmas Paul installed a wood burner in to our home. When he came to assess chimney to see if we could have one, nothing was a bother, he had a really positive attitude and gave us lots of advice and places to look to reduce our costs. The day of installation, he arrived on time, got on with the job and was a pleasure to have in my home. Paul and his colleague Mark did a fantastic job and let us having done a fantastic job and confident that if we need any help and advice we will be able to call on them. I was certainly use them again and really happy with the results.

Chimney sweep 5 I asked for a chimney sweep. LYDs gave me a chimney sweep. My chimney has been swept and given a clean bill of health by the very professional, clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic (yes, about soot!) young Paul Solicari. Excellent job, clean house, clean fireplace. Highly recommend!
