Enfield Scouts Group

Scouting In Enfield

The Scout Movement has around half a million members in 218 countries across the world and is the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation

Locally, Scouting is made up of eighteen groups for the 6 to 14 year olds, 7 units for the 14 to 18 year olds and one unit for the 18 to 25 year olds – all supported by over 400 DBS checked adult volunteers. These make up what we call our district

Each week there are around 70 activity meetings for young people to join in and every year we hold over 2000 nights of residential experiences from camps to boat journeys

Scouting helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.

Scouting is open to all young people aged 6 to 25 of every faith and background. There are also plenty of volunteer opportunities for adults to become involved as Leaders, Assistants or Administrators. Adult training is available to all and takes many shapes, from first aid & child protection to backswood skills, pioneering and cooking.

So, whether you’re 6 or 60+, come and join us. For more details, please email Paul, the volunteer responsible for managing Scouting in Enfield, at [email protected] – or you can fill out our Join Us form
