Hi and welcome to Muddy Mutleys (est. 2014) I am Clare, founder of Muddy Mutleys and an Accredited Behaviour Practitioner Scientist and Animal Trainer. I am passionate about my work with animals and love nothing more than watching the human canine bond developing with mutual understanding and respect through education and positive, evidence based and proven training methods. I enjoy working with all members of the family, especially children, so they can enjoy their dogs as much as I did growing-up with my spaniel and my collie, and many other animals thanks to my animal loving and occasionally obsessed parents. My aim is to set the animals and their human carers up for success, looking to prevent problem behaviours ever occurring wherever possible and ensuring the establishment of an everlasting mutually fulfilling relationship. However, life happens and I am also here to help when things go wrong, approaching my work with a kind, non-judgmental and holistic approach. Here at Muddy Mutleys we offer a wide range of group training opportunities, workshops, 121 sessions and consultations both face to face and online. My aim is always to make these fun as well as informative. All members have access to training videos and resources that can be referred to time and time again. Lovely! 5 Clare and Andy are lovely. There’s always a warm welcome at their training sessions and they assess you and your dog so that they can provide the right training at the right level, accommodating any particular needs. I’ve been particularly impressed with the Junior Handler training. The children thoroughly enjoy it and come away with a real sense of achievement. My grandson’s confidence with the dog has grown and he’s keen to do more. Thank you, Muddy Mutleys!

1st Class for everything dog related! 5 We first got in touch with Clare early last year to help with some behavioural issues we were having with our rescue dog. We came away from the 121 session with so much help, tips & advice on the training we needed to do. Clare followed up with it all in an email for future reference along with lots of video references as well. We have continued to use Clare and her team, attended the beginner and intermediate weekly training sessions where you learn a lot but also have fun with your dog. We’ve been hugely impressed with all Clare’s knowledge & training techniques and how much everyone at Muddy Mutleys care about the dogs & their owners. Libby runs to the gate on the days she attends doggie daycare at Muddy Mutleys with Andy, Juliette & Clare, for me that’s a testament to how much love & fun she gets whilst in their care.

Best in the business 5 I first met Clare during lockdown when I got Teddy. Having spoken to a number of local dog trainers, I realised straight away Clare was the perfect trainer. Her knowledge was second to none but most importantly Teddy took a shine to her straight away. I attended her dog classes at Bury Lodge Park on Saturday afternoons and was the best decision I made.
