Talkies Community Cinema presents Women at War

The story has a mythic feel, incorporating fable-like elements, casting Halla as Artemis, Greek goddess of the wilderness and the hunt, a theme that’s brilliantly emphasised by Erlingsson’s use of on-screen musicians as a kind of Greek chorus. Halldóra Geirharosdóttir commands the screen throughout.
