Here's our line-up for the evening: Lateef Lovejoy (MC) Lateef is an an extremely gifted entertainer, who made his show business debut as a witty 12 year old on ITV’s famous morning gameshow “Mousetrap”. After that experience on the big screen he has never looked back. Not many performers can boast of having exceptional skills in all the main areas of the performing arts, Lateef has these multi-faceted skills in abundance! Lateef also has tremendous comedic talent and is one of the most unique and distinctive acts on the comedy circuit, and vastly gaining the reputation of becoming a force to be reckoned with, both on the Black, Mainstream, and International comedy circuits. In 2007 Lateef played to sold out shows at the Oude Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam and the Tuschinski Theatre in Amsterdam when he toured Holland and has featured in many of the UK’s top comedy clubs and venues. Kazeem Jamal Kazeem has burst on to the comedy scene, with the confidence and stage charisma of acts who have been in the business for decades, Kazeem is proving himself to be a fine addition to the comedy circuit. A regular on the London comedy scene, he hosts around the city at a number of comedy nights as well as hosting his own shows in and around London. Jerry Bakewell (As seen on ITV's Britain's Got Talent) Britain’s most unsuccessful Mexican wrestler. Weighing in at 17-and-a-half stone, Jerry Bakewell is Britain's most unsuccessful Mexican wrestler and Europe's heaviest light entertainer. Winner of the 1993 Les Dennis Bravery Award, Jerry was recently described as a laugh every other minute, following a one-and-a-half minute set. Tom Elwes Tom Elwes is a stand up comedian, writer and presenter. Tom is one of the newest comics to break through on the comedy circuit. As a life long Londoner, he uses a combination of storytelling and acute observations to make sense of his chaotic existence. His quick wit and high-energy charm makes him one to look out for in the future. Quote : "Tom is an excellent stand up - he has closed Angel Comedy a number of times and crowds love him. A natural. I absolutely expect him to be on TV in about a year" - Angel Comedy Beth Fox Beth is a Northern newcomer on the comedy scene, but she has a long history of performing and writing comedy for the stage. After a childhood of playing the fool in Pantomimes, Beth studied Acting at Paul McCartney's Drama School LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts). In 2021, Beth wrote and started in comedy play ‘Dino Land’ at the Edinburgh Fringe. It received rave reviews and Chortle (Steve Bennet) described it as a ‘sweetly charming RomCom’ and wrote that Beth has ‘hilarious glimpses of comic potential’. Ginnia Cheng Ginnia is a London-based East Asian comedienne who’s reached the semi-finals of many of the UK’s comedy competitions including SYTYF and Up the Creek’s One to Watch. She co-hosts London’s sex-positive live comedy experience Sex Standing Up, which has been recommended by the Metro and Londonist and is regularly listed as TimeOut’s top 3 things to do in London. Ginnia was recently handpicked by BBC Writersroom for a programme showcasing the UK’s East Asian comedy talent. Brandon Palmer American Comedian, Presenter, Actor and Writer. Born in Baltimore, Maryland and starting comedy in London Brandon has a very diverse comedy background. Performing in Brighton and numerous venues in London such as Dulwich Hamlet, Caverndish Arms, and Comedy Cafe Theatre.
