Royal Palace of Elsyng Talk: its rediscovery through archaeology Saturday 24th May, 11am - 12pm Hidden beneath the grass of the Forty Hall Estate lies the remains of the Royal Palace of Elsyng, which was once owned by King Henry VIII, who used the palace as a base for deer hunting. This talk is an exciting opportunity to gain an insight into the palace, and the lifestyles that it offered to those that lived or worked there, through archaeological finds and historical documents.
