Jewellery Making Class
10 — 4pm - Saturday, 15 June 2019
Venue: Forty Hall
Join Abby Hook, an internationally acclaimed and award winning designer in this introductory jewellery making class. This class starts with becoming familiar with the tools, what they are used for and the best way to hold them as well as a few safety points. We then dive straight in to making, firstly creating a pair of ear wires and then moving on to the Butterfly wing earrings, a deceptively simple design with which we will look at binding and coiling a frame with thinner wire. We then move on to the Orbital pendant, which is a reversible design where we will learn to form closed spirals and weave with wire. Choose from copper or silver plated wire for your jewellery. Please note that the images are for reference only, there will be a selection of stones to choose from on the day. You should have a pair of Butterfly wing earrings and an Orbital woven pendant to take home with you.
