Assistant Lettings Manager

Our client, an established and trusted independent estate agent in Enfield, EN2 is currently recruiting for a professional and experienced Assistant Lettings Manager to join their friendly team. This role involves building excellent client relationships by providing an effective and reliable lettings service and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the local lettings market. Hours of work: Monday-Friday 9.30am-5.30pm & some Saturdays 9.30am-4pm (with a day in lieu during the week) Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience Benefits: Annual leave 22 days plus Bank Holidays Main duties include: • Deputise for the Lettings Manager, running the department in their absence • Attract new business • Visit and value properties • Deal with tenant queries, repair and maintenance issues, check ins and outs • Conduct property inspections at start and end of tenancy • Schedule appointments and carry out viewings with prospective tenants to view rental properties • Select responsible, reliable tenants for the rental properties by liaising with the Company’s chosen professional referencing Company • Liaise with landlords, Local Authorities, management companies, utilities and inventory clerks • Process holding deposits and deal with the preparation of contracts and notices • Maintain a diary system for key landlord and tenant events • Contact landlords and tenants when payment is overdue asking them to settle their account and liaise with legal support on escalated outstanding debts • Ad hoc attendance at Court Hearings in the event of repossession or at end of contract Requirements of the role: • Previous senior lettings experience, preferably at management level • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards. • Ideally be ARLA registered • Knowledge of the Enfield area lettings market • Friendly with a positive attitude, able to develop professional relationships with a wide range of people inside and outside the Company • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written • Confident communicator with strong negotiation, sales and marketing skills • Organised and efficient, able to work well under pressure and multi-task, with strong time-management skills • Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team • Strong computer skills including lettings computer software • A valid driving licence with no more than 3 points, preferably with own vehicle If you have the skills and experience required for this role, please forward your CV and a covering letter explaining why you feel you are suitable for this position to Dawn at [email protected].
