Multi-Trade Operative SO1 - £29,766 - £30,708 Permanent Enfield Council is bringing our repairs service back in-house and will directly deliver from April 2020. We are seeking experienced qualified professional trade staff to deliver the repair service with a commitment to proving a high quality efficient and resident focused facility. We are called Enfield Repairs Direct and offer the right person the opportunity and benefits of working for a pro-active local authority. Our staff deliver a first class, customer-focused, value for money maintenance and improvement works service ensuring that our assets meet the needs of current and future residents. The team comprises of 65 craft specialists and back office staff. The ideal candidate will be customer focused, possess excellent communication skills and be passionate about delivering an excellent service, whilst representing the Borough in a mature, robust and professional manner. You will need an NVQ Level 2 or a City and Guilds craft qualification in a recognised trade e.g. (Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrician, Bricklaying etc.) and hold a full UK driving licence. Experience of working in a social housing environment is also beneficial. We offer a 36-hour working week, 26 days holiday after 5 year’s service this increases to 31 days, excellent pension, flexible working and well- being package and the opportunity to work for a commercially focused service with a strong social conscience. Trade staff will be provided with a corporate vehicle and will be authorised to travel to and from home.
