The Role: Supported by the Chefs in Schools project, we are looking for a forward thinking, creative Head Chef and Food Educator, with a passion for quality produce and nutritional development, to set up and run our school kitchen. You will be responsible for training and upskilling our catering team and delivering a food-led curriculum to be delivered to our children. We understand that good food can have a huge impact on a child’s development, learning and their future health – we need you to educate the children so they learn where their food comes from and how to make healthy choices! You will have a unique opportunity to shape and deliver an entirely new vision for school food at Broomfield, providing fresh, tasty, exciting and nutritious food for our children, staff and school community. The right individual will have an exciting opportunity to allow their creativity to transform the meal delivery and food education of the school. Developing innovative new menu items and food concepts, continuously developing the wider food offer with support from Chefs in Schools. To achieve a high level of quality and standards at all times regarding the food and hygiene, ensuring all health and safety procedures in relation to Catering are adhered to.
